Forgotten Foods Network

A new global project led by CFF

CFF is launching the Forgotten Foods Network, a global project that is set to  capture knowledge on the foods that used to feature in the diets of our ancestors and past generations. Some of these forgotten foods - from plants, animals, insects and marine life - could be our foods of the future. Some of the foods of the future can be found in the thousands of neglected species or underutilised crops.

Once the Forgotten Foods Network has identificed a broad range of forgotten foods, CFF research team will focus on how those underutilised crops can:
- Contribute to nutritional security through dietary diversification
- Provide nutritious products in volatile climates of the future
- Support livelihoods for small-scale producers and processors in niche markets - for displaced communities, rural populations and urban dwellers

Look out for more developments on Forgotten Foods Network SOON!
