Muhammad Zahrulakmal is responsible to conduct and operating different field projects of underutilised crops from multi-locational trials according to the international standards. Currently, he is focusing on bambara groundnut research from germplasm seed collection to breeding and agronomic study. Zahrul has experience in conducting research trial on field especially in forestry, soil nutrient and plant breeding.

Prior to joining CFF in 2015, Zahrul was working in Universiti Putra Malaysia as a research assistant under plant breeding program. He holds a Diploma in Food Estate Management before pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Bioindustry Science from Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus. His interest is in agriculture technology, crop improvement and agroecosystem sustainability.
