Theme 2: Crop Improvement & Production

Selection of crop type and genotype for specific locations and cropping systems will remain an important aspect of CFF research. Improved understanding of crop/environment interactions, coupled with more efficient use of resources such as water, nutrients, energy and labour, will increase in importance. Greater attention will be paid to the nutritional quality of crops and their products in addition to yield.
